Prepare for your visit

Bring prior investigation CDs, discharge summaries, and medication cards
For planned anaesthesia assessments, follow written fasting instructions only when the OT desk confirms the time—routine consultations usually do not need fasting
Inform us about blood thinners, pacemakers, or recent infections so lists can be planned safely

When to seek urgent surgical help

Sudden severe abdominal pain with rigid abdomen or persistent vomiting
Trauma with open wounds, uncontrolled bleeding, or suspected fracture after a fall
Painful groin or abdominal bulge that cannot be pushed back, or fever with spreading skin infection—call or travel to emergency services as directed
